Dreaming of Spring...

Just back from a whirlwind trip to the sunny Vegas strip at the fashion industry's biggest tradeshows and wow, are we ready for some warmer weather! But, alas, it's still February and somehow even colder in Vancouver. We can at least start the transition by adding some fresh neutrals to our wardrobes. We spied this fair maiden rocking some fabulously quirky street style at Milan Fashion Week and love how she's paired soft feminine tones and textures with a killer pair of zebra print heels and black driving gloves. Style Profile - Eman, Makeup Artist

We've been noticing a few Canadian style stars with One Fated Knight bags by their side, so we've decided to quiz them for their expert secrets and find out what they love about OFK. To kick off the series, we chatted with Eman, a freelance makeup artist from Vancouver who's now working in Toronto. She's also a beauty blogger, YouTube star (we love her easy to follow makeup tutorials) and creator of Mint Brushes. Eman's work is regularly seen in Canada's top magazines and she has worked with major cosmetics players NARS and Make Up For Ever, plus a few celebrity beauties too. Always start by perfecting the skin. Everything after that will look great. 2. Is there a spring makeup trend that will work for everyone? Bright lip colours look great on everyone and really make an impact. 3. Where do you shop in Toronto? I love exploring the boutiques on Queen Street West. It's always a guarantee that I'll find something I need and different. 4. Joan of Arc or knight in shining armour? Joan of Arc. 5. What is your go-to One Fated Knight bag? The Duke. I love it. Cute couple alert! Valentine's Day is just around the corner and we are big believers in chivalry. So just a friendly reminder that One Fated Knight has stylish bags for both guys and girls. Designer Notes - Vintage Inspiration

Old world inspiration is our game here at One Fated Knight. Not only from the medieval era that gave our bags their names, but we love the detailed craftsmanship of days gone by and the story told by weathered and worn materials. We headed to an antiques auction just outside of Vancouver to get some inspiration for our next bags and found a treasure trove! Stay tuned this year for new styles inspired by these kinds of field trips. In the meantime, shop our signature collection with timeless basket weave and patchwork details that will just get better with age. The dark and stormy days of winter continue, but we're actually finding inspiration in the overcast skies. Vancouver Street Food City

We love our foodie hometown of Vancouver and this weekend we'll be supporting our local food truks and hitting the second annual Street Food City at the Vancouver Art Gallery as part of Dine Out Vancouver. With awesome folks like The Juice Truck, Holy Perogy and Mom's Grilled Cheese on site it's a feast fit for a king or queen. Open until January 27th. Will you be there?
